FAQ

Common Questions, Answered

What is direct cremation?

Direct cremation is cremation without a preceding funeral service or viewing. It is the most simple and affordable cremation option. The deceased is collected and taken directly to the crematorium after all legal requirements are met, including the Medical Certificate and Cremation Certificate.

How long does the process take?

From the time of arrangement to receiving ashes typically takes 7-14 days. This includes the legally required waiting periods (usually 2-4 days after the Medical Certificate is issued) and crematorium scheduling. We will keep you updated at every step.

Can I still have a memorial service?

Absolutely. Many families choose to hold a memorial service or celebration of life after receiving the ashes. This gives you flexibility in planning and can often be more meaningful and personal. You can hold the service at home, in a community space, or outdoors.

What happens to the ashes?

The ashes are returned to you in a secure container via courier, or you can collect them from our premises. You can then keep them at home, scatter them in a meaningful location (with landowner permission), or inter them in a cemetery or memorial garden.

Is payment required upfront?

We offer both full payment and payment plan options. Payment plans allow you to split the cost into three monthly instalments with no interest or fees. We believe cost should never be a barrier during a difficult time.
